Making & Assessing Learner Connections through the AASL Standards In-Person
(American Association of School Libraries)
Join Elizabeth Burns, member of the AASL Standards editorial board, as she leads a guided tour into the AASL Standards Framework for Learners. This highly informative session will investigate the application of the framework in library lessons. She’ll discuss designing and enhancing learner experiences using the Shared Foundations and learner Competencies in the National School Library Standards. Participants will also be introduced to student assessment opportunities provided through the AASL Standards.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain familiarity with the AASL Standards Framework for Learners.
- Consider authentic strategies for implementation of the Learner Framework.
- Identify ways the AASL Standards can support learning and assessment.
