Developing a Cyberbullying Prevention Program In-Person

(edWeb)

Instances of cyberbullying continue to rise at an alarming rate. According to the i-SAFE Foundation, over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied online and about the same number have engaged in cyberbullying. Within our schools, increased access to internet-enabled devices combined with the expansion of social media channels has created an environment where bullying is more prevalent than ever.

Join Director of Technology, Evan Abramson, as he discusses how Millburn Township Public Schools in New Jersey provides teachers with the resources and support they need to confidently address cyberbullying and other online safety topics with their students. You’ll gain insight and hear best practices to develop an online safety program for your school or district, how to approach and discuss challenging topics, and why it’s crucial for everyone to be involved in cyberbullying prevention.

Kindergarten through middle school teachers, librarians, and school and district leaders will benefit from attending this session. There will be time for questions at the end of Evan’s presentation.
