The Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center invites representatives of Interior Alaska museums, visitors centers, and other institutions with exhibits that serve visitors and the community to join them for a two-day collections care workshop with expert conservator Nicole Peters.

The workshop will cover the basics of cleaning and preventative care for organic and inorganic materials, including an introduction to basic tools and mounts; how to identify conditoin issues, develop and implement a cleaning plan; and when to call a conservator. The workshops will include classroom as well as hands-on components.
